How do I want to shape my career?
Hello!
Most people apply for jobs without knowing what makes them happy. I'm not among most people, and this document lays out who I'm at the core of my heart. It's a non-compromisable set of points for me.
Throughout my career, I have found the maximum drive in shaping the future of businesses and challenging the status quo. I firmly believe that success or failure is a choice we make, and we live this choice every day. Professionally, I chase more every day, and while that's mostly enough, a few things that stand very close to my heart are culture, dependability and the right intent.
I love marketing and all things brand and strategy. 2021 took a lot from me, and when I look back on my life before 2021, it becomes very evident that I only remember a few days, and I'm incredibly proud of those days. It only takes a little for any organization to help me help them the best.
Here is what I ask for my ideal role.
I thrive in an environment where trust, patience, and genuine compassion are integral to the company culture. Working with individuals who operate from the heart instils a sense of loyalty and commitment that inspires me to give my all.
Learning
I firmly believe in dedicating time outside of work hours and occasionally during work hours to hone my skills and expand my knowledge. The most progressive organizations today recognize the importance of supporting their employees' growth.
A seat at the table
My age and resume speak different languages. That's because I've been fortunate to work with meritocratic organizations. My ideal role would empower me to play a pivotal part in shaping the company's vision, interpreting industry trends, and crafting the company roadmap. I appreciate working with colleagues with strong opinions as long as those opinions are backed by transparent reasoning rather than mere speculation.
Risk Appetite
While I often calculate before taking risks, my colleagues often describe me as instinctive – an attribute that allows me to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to the organization's growth.
Team Work
I function at my best when surrounded by a team of motivated and talented individuals. The strength doesn't matter; the attitude and energy matter a lot.
Skin in the Game
To ensure fairness and commitment, while my ideal role would involve shared responsibility in the business's profit and loss (P&L), it would also charter a clear exponential ROI path for myself. The perception of impact creation becomes distorted without visibility into how the organization's growth helps me. I'm a founder, and I value equity very, very much.
If you're smiling while you're reading this, we should chat and start rolling immediately. Because why not? That's my moto. Why not? :)
